Our 2018 Pinot Noir grapes come from two vineyards in the Russian River Valley. 65% are from the ultra-premium Tina Marie Vineyard in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley. 35% are from the Kalemba Vineyard - a small, family-owned, 2-acre vineyard in the RRV. The grapes were fermented in open-top, stainless steel fermentation tanks with 100% native yeast fermentation. 15% of the grapes saw whole bunch fermentation. And the wine was aged in 9% new French oak, 91% neutral oak barrels for 11 months.
This Pinot Noir is plush and juicy, hitting your mid-palate with an explosion of red fruit compote and sweet herbs. Overripe strawberries and Bing cherry meet tobacco, oregano, and potpourri, with a medium body, velvety tannins, and lingering finish. Pairs well with Margherita pizza, steak frites, and gnocchi with mushroom ragu.
